pretty privilege "fees"

What would you think about a law that either charges people pretty privilege "fees" or pays ugliness subsidies to equalise opportunities and ability to live a fulfilled life?

The true test of loneliness - what do you score?

People say they're happy alone yet almost all score non-zero on this true test - meaning that they actually have people to talk to, so can't speak from experience.

At this moment:

  1. if you call your friends, do any of them pick up the phone and agree to chat? (no/yes) (0/1)
  2. if you ask a friend for a coffee in person in the morning, to they agree or even read or reply to your message? (no/yes) (0/1)
  3. If you call all your family members (siblings, parents), do any of them pick up the phone? (no/yes) (0/1)
  4. Do any of your family agree to have a chat with you on the phone without having a reason to hang up? (no/yes) (0/1)
  5. Do family or friends agree to meet you in person for a chat or coffee? (no/yes) (0/1)
  6. If you post online asking for friends, does anyone actually meet you in person? (no/yes) (0/1)
  7. Do you have colleagues at work to talk to? (no/yes) (0/1)
  8. Does the supermarket checkout person agree to have a conversation when you speak to them? (no/yes) (0/1)
  9. Do you have a partner who agrees to chat with you (rather than ignoring you and turning on the TV)? (no/yes) (0/1)
  10. If you go on friendship or dating apps, does anyone agree to meet & chat in person? (no/yes) (0/1)

People who say "you need to learn to be happy alone, like I am" almost inevitably don't score 0 on this test, yet they seem to think they can speak about something they've never experienced.

I've found that in the last 15-20 years, an alarming number of men actually score ZERO (0) on this test. Yet they're frequently told by people who don't score 0 that they should "learn to be happy alone". Humans & DNA didn't evolve to be constantly alone with no long term bonds. There are very few species of mammal on the planet that did. It's simply not neurologically in our ability or healthy. Almost everyone who thinks they're "happy alone" is either secretly in touch with family or friends regularly, unhealthy, or doesn't realise the health damage - isolation is repeatedly shown to be worse than smoking.
