MOHELA No Payment Due

Can someone help me understand the status of my loans with MOHELA?

I submitted a payment plan change to get off SAVE and got approval at $0 (no idea how my payments should be much higher). The printable account information document shows my payment is $0 for 12 months (and the ending payment aligns with my recertification date). The document also shows that I’m currently in Income Based Repayment and the Status is No Payment Due (screenshot included).

I’m working towards PSLF and am very close to 120. My question is am I in repayment and are these $0 payments counting? The last two payments counted for PSLF on Student Aid, but the PSFL tracker has not been updated since 7/3/2026, so I’m not sure if I’m in a processing forbearance (hence the $0 payment) or if these are all actually going to count.

Has anyone’s PSLF tracker been updated for July’s payment on studentaid.gov? Mine has been stuck at “last updated 7/3”.

Recertification Date Changing?

I submitted an income recertification to switch my payment plan out of SAVE in May 2026. In June I received approval of the plan and at that time, the Printable Account Info on MOHELA said I had 12 payments at the new amount. In addition, my May and June payments both showed PSLF qualified (they just need employment verification).

I logged into StudentAid.gov today and it says my recertification date is 8/19/2026 (the 19th is my normal due date). Under the my loans tab, it shows I'm on both IBR and SAVE:

Printable Account Info on MOHELA says I have 10 months at the new amount starting 8/19/2026.

I'm very confused. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need to recertify again or is this a glitch in the system?

PSFL and Professional Employer Organization

I used to work for a non-PSFL eligible property management company that managed properties that were 501c3 entities. There were 6 of those entities (all PSFL eligible) that paid my salary to my employer (who was under a professional employer organization, Insperity).

Long shot here - but given that my salary was paid by those 6 entities that are PSFL eligible, would my time at that company count towards forgiveness, assuming my former employer would fill out the forms?

Any insights or advice would be helpful!

IDR and Mohela Processing Delay

Can’t get any answers from Mohela so thought I’d try here! I submitted an income recertification and got a response back on 6/5 that my plan was approved and they also sent a repayment schedule change (all for $0 but don’t think that’s correct). Then on 6/9 I received the “Correspondence Processing Delay” notification and all my loans were placed in Forbearance.

I’m 18 payments away from PSLF forgiveness. Will this Forbearance count towards the 120 payment counts? Is it likely that since I got the payment plan approved letter at $0 my payments will actually be $0?
