Promotional Die Cast Pins
I need a refresh of a fading memory. Can anyone recall how the pictured die cast pin was obtained? Two thoughts:
A proof of purchase of the three Sonic Temple "cassingles" (Fire Woman, Edie (Ciao Baby), Sweet Soul Sister) had to be mailed to [the fan club??], along with a self addressed stamped envelope. Months and months later the pin showed up.
Just like the new era of sport card collecting, a random redemption card was inserted into one of the three Sonic Temple "cassingles". It was mailed to Warner Bros. with a self addressed stamped envelope and half a year later the pin would arrive.
I recently rediscovered this pin in a box of my collectable coins. Why I put in there and not with my music collectibles? Your guess! Fact is, with my coins the pin was afforded the same care and managed to stay in mint condition.
