what to do if you are a highly sensitive person?

Hello reddit,

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am a fairly smart person, not a genius but definitely have an ability to think outside the box/creatively. I just recently graduated with my MFA in Art but I did that because I wanted to do something for myself that I had wanted to do for some time and it was entirely funded so I didn't have to go into debt.

I need a career- I am in my 40's and have always had a job but mostly lower wage positions in areas that I found interesting and I managed ok by not spending more than I earned at the time. I am wondering if there are other highly sensitive people out there and what they do for work? I thought about nursing for like 20 years but I think it would overwhelm me- I could not deal with some of the messed up situations that people come into the hospital from. Life can be brutal and people are wild. I want to do something meaningful but I feel pretty lost at this point in my life.

anyway, wondering what other creative, interested, curious, kind empaths that don't love to be micromanaged do for work ?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME !

question on certification / Master's ...

I apologize in advance if this seems like an obvious question...I did try to google it first but was confused!

I am interested in teaching art education in special education, ideally K-5 grades.

I have a BFA and a MFA in Visual Art. I was able to teach in a private school as an Assistant but I would prefer to work in a public school setting. Do I need to go back to school and obtain my Master's in Education + special education? Or is there a certificate I can get instead ?

Thank you,
