Some favorite bits from Friday's Lake Michigan Beach walk.
I had a lot of luck at the beach last weekend! Beautiful weather and a great day for blues, including a piece of pirate glass. Found another marble, which reminds me of a mini baseball and almost a full rainbow in little bits.
Lake Michigan beach Finds from various areas around Chicago. The Lake has been generous lately!
A few of my favorite finds from the last couple of weeks. Lake Michigan has been generous lately :)
Not only is it my birth month, but my garden usually looks so pretty this time of year. Here are some garden friends and some of what's blooming at the moment.
This is a photo dump from the last couple of weeks, combing on Lake Michigan. The weather has been so hot, but the beach has been generous 😀
These are from a couple of weeks ago, found some nifty pottery bits as well as some lovely glass. It was a good day for the blues, as well!
I haven't been able to go out lately cuz I hurt my knee, so these are from a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful day at the beach and I found some fun pieces! Also, if anyone knows what the 4th photo might have started as, I'd love to know.
... from last weekend's beach trip. Found bunches of purples, including what I would call a pirate glass piece; is it still pirate glass if it comes from a lake and not the ocean? There were also quite a few multi-colored bits and a couple of glowers. There were tons of little beetles, including ladybugs, cucumber beetles, and others all over the beach as well (last photo), I've never seen so many at once before!
... is the most wonderful time of the year! My favorite flower, and I'm so grateful that I've got a yard to grow my own in. I'm also partial to lilacs, so it's great when the bloom time lines up for a lovely bouquet 💐
Some of my favorites from a quick trip to my favorite beach this morning. Very excited about the large green chunk, such a great color! The yellow piece is uranium glass, which is always a nice surprise 😀
