Why dont we research crocodiles to know the skeleton of archosaurs and in turn T Rex

The ribs below the rib cage are called Gastralia. They are also found in crocodiles. Crocodiles are basically direct remnants of archosaur, which were the group of T Rex.

Moreover we dont even know the exact skeleton of T Rex because we dont have the parts that are missing.

These Gastralia were a recent discovery after expeditions.

So why dont we research crocodiles for the skeletons of the T Rex or say archosaurs?

(if there is any research on the matter please tag it im a complete noob here)
