i’m trying to pattern draft a pair of pants that is kind of formal but still comfy, so i wanted them to have a regular flat waistband at the front and an elastic waistband at the back.
how big should the back be to let me fit into it but also not gape too much on the butt?
i was thinking to draw the back waist as big as the pelvis but won’t that be too big?
i also read about drawing the back waist + darts but not sew the darts to leave room for putting them on but won’t that be too small?
