Still legitimately shocked that The Dark Backward is a special edition from Sony and not a boutique. Maybe they figured they would give their cult titles a shot since Night of the Living Dead '90's 4k sold so well?

Has there been any rumors or news on the other Juzo Itami films that Criterion has the rights to? It's a shame that this and The Funeral are the only two we currently have available on blu ray.
Vastly underseen and underrated. If you dig quirky indie films, check it out. Plus you can't beat the duo of Fred Ward and Harry Dean Stanton, they were two of the best!
The reverse cover of Soldier makes it look like it features Chip Hazard or the toy soldier from Dollman VS Demonic Toys.
This is the first Shout/HK Classics release of something that I've never seen before so I hope I dig them, though its hard to go wrong with Chow Yun Fat.
