I saw IIT Mandi is orgainizing an event titled "emerging electronics technologies for 3D-AM & semicon-x industry iceet". Can anyone from outside attend this? I would be grateful if someone could provide me with registration link.

I'm an engineer trying to understand how freight forwarding and LCL consolidation actually work in practice.

I want to understand two things:

1. The operational flow – From the moment a customer requests a shipment until the cargo reaches its destination, what does the process actually look like? Which teams are involved, and how does information move through the system?
2. The technology stack – What software and tools do you rely on day to day? For example, do you use platforms like CargoWise, a custom ERP, Excel, WhatsApp, email, TMS/WMS software, or something else? Which parts of the workflow are still largely manual?

I'd especially appreciate hearing from people in operations, documentation, warehouse management, or container planning.

If you're willing, I'd also love to hear about:

• What part of the workflow is the most complex?
• Which tasks consume the most time?
• What do people outside the industry usually misunderstand about freight forwarding?

I'm here to learn, so any insights, diagrams, anecdotes, or "this is how we actually do it" explanations would be hugely appreciated.
