Mortal Shell II GFN players: if you’ve lost access or can’t get a refund, please contact Playstack

Mortal Shell II was advertised by NVIDIA as coming to GeForce NOW and was playable on the service during Early Access. Some of us purchased the game specifically because of that support.

The publisher subsequently opted the game out of GeForce NOW due to an audio bug. NVIDIA has since clarified that the same audio issue occurs on local PCs as well as the cloud, and there is currently no ETA for the game returning to GFN.

This has left some customers in a particularly bad situation: they bought the game specifically to play through GFN, played it while it was available, and now cannot access it through GFN at all. Some players have also reported being denied Steam refunds because they accumulated more than two hours of playtime while the game was still available on GFN.

If you're affected by this or simply want clarification about whether GFN support is returning, I think the most useful thing we can do is contact Playstack directly and politely make them aware of how many customers this is affecting.

Please don't harass individual developers or community moderators. This appears to be a publisher/platform decision, and the community moderators themselves have said they aren't responsible for it.

When contacting Playstack, I'd specifically ask:

  • Will Mortal Shell II be opted back into GeForce NOW?
  • If so, is there any approximate ETA?
  • If the audio bug also occurs locally, why does GFN access need to remain disabled while it is being fixed?
  • What are customers who purchased specifically for GFN supposed to do if Steam refuses their refund because they played for more than two hours before access was withdrawn? (some customers can not keep playing due to their hardware limitations)

Playstack contacts:
info@playstack.com
support@playstack.com

If you're affected, I'd recommend emailing both addresses. Please keep it civil and explain your own situation so Playstack can see how many individual customers this is affecting.
