Did Vettel’s Sochi crash actually speed up Kvyat being replaced by Verstappen?
I’ve always wondered how much the Sochi incident actually influenced things, because the timing seems almost too convenient.
Red Bull had clearly been preparing Max for a promotion, and Kvyat’s position didn’t look completely secure. Then came the messy start in China, followed by Sochi, where Vettel got caught up in a lap-one incident and ended up crashing after a chain of events. Vettel was visibly frustrated, and there were reports he confronted Horner afterward.
Not long after, Kvyat was moved back to Toro Rosso and Verstappen stepped into his seat—going on to win his very first race with Red Bull in Spain.
So was Sochi really the tipping point, or just a convenient moment for a decision that had already been made?
Ferrari Monza concept livery white, yellow and red for the home race
Made this Monza concept with white, yellow and red while keeping the usual Ferrari feel.
The yellow around the engine cover was the main idea with red on the nose rear and wheel covers to tie it back together added a subtle pattern on the white parts so it doesn’t look too plain.
Would this work as a Monza special, or is it not red enough?
Made on an older Ferrari chassis—this is just a livery concept.
Ai is used.
Watching Mercedes dominate again makes me realize how much Vettel's Ferrari actually mattered.
