I Used to Work Here, But Apparently That Never Stopped Looking Like I Do
I worked at this store for a few months, but eventually I left because the job wasn’t working out for me.
Every now and then, I still stop by the store. Because I used to work there, I know where most things are, so sometimes customers see me and assume I’m still an employee.
They’ll walk up and ask me where something is or ask a question about the store.
I usually have to smile and say, “Sorry, I don’t work here anymore.”
The funny part is that I can still answer some of their questions because I remember the place so well.
