Any parents with kids at Siebecker Preschool?

I'm planning to enroll my 2yo (turns 3 in December) to Siebecker next month. We toured and liked what we saw and the hours work for us, and wanted some honest feedback from parents whose kids are already enrolled.

Day to Day communication with teachers?
Transition from daycare to preschool?
Anything you wish you knew before enrollment?

Thanks in advance

Does California law require rent abatement when an apartment repeatedly loses running water for scheduled repairs?

Location: CA, San Mateo County

I live in an apartment complex in South San Francisco, CA. Over the past month I've received four separate notices for water shutoffs, all apparently for plumbing repairs:

Date Shutoff
7/15/2026 9 AM–3 PM (6 hrs)
7/22/2026 9 AM–3 PM (6 hrs)
7/31/2026 9 AM–2 PM (5 hrs)
8/10/2026 9 AM–3 PM (6 hrs)

I understand that plumbing repairs sometimes require the water to be shut off, and I'm not complaining about a single maintenance outage. My concern is the frequency and cumulative disruption.

I also work from home, so these repeated shutoffs significantly disrupt my ability to work.

  • Is this considered a normal amount of disruption for apartment maintenance?
  • Does the cumulative frequency matter legally?
  • Would it be reasonable to request a rent credit/abatement?
  • At what point does repeated planned loss of water become unreasonable?

The landlords property manager is unable to provide any information if this disruption will continue.

I don't know if this matters from a legal perspective but the shutoff notices are simply pasted on my apartment door, with no registered/certified mail or other confirmation that I actually received them.
