Should I buy the 17 or the 17 pro? I currently have a 15 and the reason I want to upgrade is so my phone isnt constantly overheating and I want better camera quality bc i frequently go to concerts. I know the 17 pro has better camera quality but i love the colors and style of the base 17 way more and its more affordable. However if the 17 pro’s camera quality is that much of an upgrade over the base 17 for concerts im fine with spending the extra money.

I only recently got my current iPhone 15 off of amazon in December of 2024 and even though it hasn’t been long the phone itself is doing really bad. Im running out of space fast since it’s 126gb and the camera quality is horrible and it heats up in seconds. It’s hot as im typing this right now. Also my battery healthy is already at 80% as well.

I’m planning on buying a new iPhone in September and I was wondering what phone I should buy? I was leaning towards the base 17 iPhone over the 16 plus as I only really care about good camera quality and decent storage as I’m a frequent concert goer and the 15 is pretty bad for taking concert videos. I’m unfortunately on a pretty tight budget since i’m a high school student right now but I am working two part time jobs so i’m fine with spending some money a new phone if its worth it.

So can anyone help me decide what to pick? Should I get the 16 plus or the base 17? Or is it worth it to go the extra mile and buy the 17 plus or 17 pro max. I’m also planning on trading in my current 15 since it still functions pretty fine but I don’t know if i’ll get much money for it. Thank you guys.
