Points and location
I’m trying to decide if taking Pathophysiology is worth the extra cost before I apply to UTA’s AO BSN program.
Right now, I’m estimating my score to be around 7.6 without Patho and about 8.01 with Patho.
I live in a smaller area, not a major city like DFW, Houston, or San Antonio. Does being in a less competitive geographic area help my chances at all? I know AO applicants are separated by geographic region, so I’m wondering if anyone from a smaller area has gotten accepted with similar points.
I really want to take Patho for the extra 0.5 consideration, but the class is about $1,200, and I’m nervous about spending that much and still not getting accepted.
I’m applying to two nursing programs and honestly plan to go with whichever one accepts me first.
Has anyone gotten into UTA AO with around 7.6–8.0 points, especially outside of the major metro areas? Would you spend the $1,200 for Patho to get the extra points?
