The next step is to swap the wheelset out to something with a wider internal width, but given that I'm already getting so much out of this bike, I might just skip it. Eventually if I do get said wheelset though, I'll be throwing these 50mm Conti Dubs on it or until my Burt's wear out.

First time going on above 120km distance, and that day I learned the importance of fueling.

The only thing I shouldn't have done with this rig was swap the chainring to a 44t up from a 40t, in my head, I would've had more of a 1:1 climbing ratio but that goes out the window with chunky tyres and climbing loose gravel surfaces 😂. I sort of get why people run MTB rear derailleur mullet setups now. Oh well, lesson learned. I did record segments of my ride and put it up on my YouTube channel.
