First reading of proposed regulations intended to shape a new Neighborhood Business and employment district in Cedarhurst Neighborhood. A now heavily wooded historic and affordable residential neighborhood. 
If only they could put in any attention to 1st avenue for employment?

I just wanted to thank everyone who took time to come out and speak with people about our impacted neighborhoods, and of course the conversations about our Cedarhurst Neighborhood situation! We had some wonderful and encouraging conversations about our neighborhood and what we’d all like to see happen. Thank you Council members and Sarah Moore for talking with us, I really hope we can find a true middle ground for our neighborhood going forward.

🌲North SeaTac Park is a vital forested buffer protecting South King County communities from airport pollution, extreme heat, and tree canopy loss.🌲
For years, residents and advocates have fought to preserve this irreplaceable green space that supports community health, wildlife, and climate resilience.
Now, 45 vulnerable acres remain at risk. 🤕
The City of SeaTac has applied for a grant to purchase this land from the Port of Seattle, but the Port has yet to commit to the sale despite strong community advocacy.

Help tell the Burien City Council, this Industrial rezone of an entire neighborhood is punching down on people that have been through enough.
We’re NOT against mixed use or even upzoning for more housing, we’re against the erasure of this 100 year old neighborhood.

Whoever might think this is a “NIMBY issue” trust, it is not. It’s a working-class-family-neighborhood erasure issue, and it should make anyone angry af, but don’t take my word for it:
