Hello everyone I have been experiencing heavy diffused shedding for about a year now. My scalp is inflamed, itchy and tingling all the time but definitely seems like it get flared up by something. It started out with more flaking and white crust. But now I am having little flaking and dandruff but seem to have white hard balls attached to hair that will slide up the hair or fall with the hair. It seems like there is a lot of gunk/ buildup around the base of the hair. I have been to a dermatologist who said my scalp was inflamed but most likely is just MPB but prescribed me Clobetasol and ciclopirox with no relief of itch or inflammation. I agree that MPB is a factor but there is definitely something else going on. Thank you for any advice or opinions

Hello everyone, I have been having scalp issues for about a year now. I have had a lot of diffused shedding as well and some hairline movement back. I have been experiencing itching and a little scaling all over my scalp, that is constant but can definitely get flared up. I have not been able to find out what causes these flare-ups (diet, sleep, stress, detergent, shampoo).The itching and tingling seems to be worse around my temples and front hairline. I have not been able to find out what causes these flare-ups (diet, sleep, stress, detergent, shampoo). I have dandruff that is attached to the hair and will slide up and off, but not much that comes off in a traditional sense. I also have been experiencing bumps on my temples around hairs that I have noticed will get a bump and then fall out shortly after. I have been to a dermatologist and was told I had “ a little inflammation,” but it was looking like male-patterned baldness. I was also prescribed Ciclopirox shampoo and Clobetasol drops. I have used both of these as prescribed for months and have not seen/ felt any improvement. In an attempt to help stop my hair loss not knowing why it is falling out in large amounts, I have started oral minoxidil and finasteride (prescribed online). Has anyone else has these same symptoms?
