Need root canal a month before filing bankruptcy?

i dont have money/cash and insurance but ive been putting off dental care and now i need a root canal for a couple of teeth. Say i get approved for any financing (despite the low credit score) would it still be okay to get the dental work? Even if im financing it and will probably owe 5k? Or will this be a red flag when i file bankruptcy

making below median but have too much residual income?for ch7

I just found out about residual income. Turns out, after i start my new job next week, we will have too much residual income to qualify for chapter 7. Our main goal was to get rid of our car which we pay a total of 1k a month with insurance. But i was informed that this will not count as qualifying expense if we are going to surrender it during bankruptcy. Both my husband and i will be working full time and he gets paid $27 and hour and me at $16.75. Aside from the car note, we only have phone bills, rent, groceries, renters insurance, and utilities that we need to pay for.

What happens if i surrender my car in chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Im very upside down on my car. Would it be treated like my car gets reposessed? They take the car and i pay whatever remaining balance there is? Or would they just take it away and i will not have to pay anything at all? TIA

attorney said we would not qualify for ch7 despite being under median?

i recently just talked to an attorney and we make below median income but he said we would not qualify considering that our main reason why we're filing is because of our huge monthly payment for our financed car that we're going to be giving up for bankruptcy anyway so it does not fall under qualifying expenses and that our monthly expenses is too low that we can still afford it. We pay 1k /month for the car with insurance. Our rent is relatively low since we're in texas so we pay 1k for rent without utilities. But he said we could still afford the 1k rent payment if we're giving up the car but that's the point because we dont want to keep the car or continue making payments even if the monthly payment is lowered. We just want to save up as much as we can.

chapter 7 questions

we just moved from CA to TX a month ago and we're planning to wait out the 90 days before we can file here in Texas. And i was just wondering, how long can you stop making payments before filing bankruptcy is considered safe? And will they take out money from out bank when we file? Also, is it better if we take out in cash everytime we get paid from work? For two reasons: We save money better if we don't see it in our accounts and keep the cash away and two, we don't want to risk having our money getting deducted randomly from where we owe money from. TIA

Is it recommended to buy cash car before or after filing bankruptcy?

We have a car that we can no longer afford which is one of the reason why we're filing for bankruptcy to grt rid of it. Is it a good idea to get a cash car before we file or do it while filing or after discharge? We just want to make sure we still have a car to use in case they reposess our car. TIA

is it better to get a cash car before, during, or after filing bankruptcy?

and why? we have a car that we're loaning and we're surrendering it and was just wondering if we should secure a cheap car we can use or make use of the car that we have until they take it? and do i have to keep paying insurance if ever we get discharged and they don't take it yet?

should i wait to file or just file now?

i just have a few questions that i hope i can get answers to:

> we just moved from California to Texas a week ago and was just wondering if that would affect our filing?

> Also, we're planning to stop our car payments (after paying it on time every month) because we are planning to use it to pay an attorney.

> should we get a cash car now? or after filing? in case they take away our car. I talked to one lawyer he said we still have a few months to use the car after filing they dont take it away in an instant.

>if we accumulate savings from not paying CC debts and car loan, will this cause to push chapter 13 instead? OR will they take into consideration the amount we saved up after filing for bankruptcy to decide whether or not approve our case? Say like "they are capable to save that amount therefore they do not need to file bankruptcy or maybe just go for chapter 13?"?

>will on time payments car payments make a red flag? Again thinking we're capable of paying it off every month?

>what if we wait out a couple months before filing and i end up getting a job. Will that severely affect our chances of filing for chapter 7 since our household income is then higher?

>In general, is it better to wait a couple months before filing or just do it now?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!
