YA Furry Book Recs

Hi,

I have a tween in my life (being vague here) who would benefit from some YA style books about anthropomorphic animals. Tween would like some romance in the books, some 'fade to black' scenes are fine. I'm trying to support said tween (with parental permission).

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you

Testing/Assessment (MAP)

I'm the parent of a pretty high performing/gifted 7 year old. They took the MAP Growth (2-5) through homeschool boss this year and scored a 265 RIT in math and a 232 RIT in reading. This wasn't that surprising; they read the Lord of the Rings trilogy with ease this year, and finished Singapore Dimensions 6a/b for math.

That said, I'm in a required testing state and so we will keep doing testing. Should I have my kid take a higher level MAP test? Is there a better test for this kind of kid?

The MAP was do-able, but due to the complexity of problems they got, it took a while and they were pretty tired at the end (they clicked through the last few problems without much focus). Visual fatigue is also a huge issue- my kid is visually impaired which makes this harder (I enlarge the font on the computer and translate problems to a whiteboard for them to work).
