I'm seriously lacking in reception service length

Hi guys,

I have issue with my reception lenght, 50% of the time I'm doing a sjprt reception so my oponnent take the center and I'm in a disavantage position. I can be also a bit late, I need to develop my endurance.

How I fix that ?

How do you build you endurance ?

Elbow hyperextension on squash backhand – what am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed that I sometimes hyperextend my elbow when hitting a backhand in squash.

When this happens, I get a sharp pain in my elbow. It feels like I'm swinging into thin air, and my arm goes past the ideal contact point, almost as if there was no resistance from the ball.

Has anyone experienced this before, and what technical changes helped you fix it?

Thanks!

Issue with Carboflex 120 – Elbow Pain

I own several rackets,I'm playing with a Karakal Black Zone Orange (110g) strung with Tecnifibre Biphase at 10.5 kg tension — and it felt great.

I recently switched to a Tecnifibre Carboflex 120 with the exact same string and tension, but I've started experiencing elbow pain since the change. Has anyone else run into this issue?

A bit of context:

  • I play 3 times a week
  • I'm starting to compete in ranked matches
  • I generally prefer a balanced and fairly lightweight racket
  • I'm looking for advice on a racket that would suit my level and playing frequency

About Harrow:
I came across the Harrow brand while researching, but I'm a bit hesitant — it's not easy to find, the brand feels obscure to me.

Any recommendations? And does anyone have experience with elbow issues specifically linked to the Carboflex 120? Could it be the weight, the balance, or the stiffness of the frame causing the problem?

Thanks in advance 🙏
