Im bored so heres stuff on why i hate KDE

  1. Kwin can be a bit more buggy
  2. KDE is so customizable and so rigid like there somethings i feel like theres certain stuff that are bloat but are hardcoded so i cant remove it unless i wanna risk breaking my system
  3. theres so much bloat by default like yeah its a DE its a full thing but why do we have preinstalled games like its uneccesary and most people dont use them that often
  4. Discover is unreliable and also keeps locking up the terminal because of Packagekit so it's very distro dependent too on how well it works whcih is why it's also kinda unreliable

i know this isnt linuxsucks but im bored and wanna hear other linux users thoughts

I built a Tinder for distros because picking one normally takes me three months

15 cards, swipe left or right, and at the end it matches you with a distro based on the tags you actually liked - not the ones you said you liked.

80 distros in there, from Arch to Hannah Montana-tier obscure. Every profile is written in first person, so Debian opens with "half your exes were built on top of me" and Gentoo takes all night.

Free, no signup, no ads: https://linuxinder.vercel.app/

Source (MIT): https://github.com/Schoji/Linuxinder

Built it in two days as a joke. Curious what it matches you with - post your result, especially if it's something you'd never install.

I need distro suggestions for 2 old Mac's

I have a early 2012 Macbook pro and a mid 2015 Air and since I don't wanna use the same old distros I already have installed on other devices (Mint, openSUSE, MX and Arch) and want to use something new I need suggestions and preferably low maintenance

What design philosophy y'all like your desktop to look for the themes atleast

I don't have a personal favorite on how a Desktop environments layout should be but I do like keeping the theme simple and easy on the eyes the general gold standard for me is Mint-Y it's simple and it's easy on the eyes

Arch is so easy to set up nowadays

Archinstall made it so easy for people to get into Arch nowadays does it still deserve to be called complex or not what y'all think

Linux autoclickers and Macros suck

They are unreliable they are a hit or miss or just annoying to set up, use and maintain or they don't work on some programs or they just stop working because Rust has an update or something depending on which autoclicker you got like for all of windows issued and corporate bs it does do a good job at not being annoying to run programs or use programs

Linux community can be pretty insufferable

Self explanatory title and several people probably made post like this but just as a reminder for other Linux users be respectful and don't try to be pushy on getting people to Linux because that creates bad rep and really just pushes people away and also try to be less bias the Linux community so many time genuinely annoying to deal with
