theory about wanim

the sub claims to help understand women but really it’s just reinforcing patriarchal ideals in order to validate male hypergamy

patriarchy says male bodies aren’t meant to be beautiful, you are not supposed to desire them, but be dominated by them .
straight men absolutely love the idea that the male body is “inherently ugly” bc that means they don’t have to put in any effort or face pressure to be hot. they can attract partners without any modifications of their natural form

women online think calling male bodies ugly is this super feminist move. but it’s just cope… i see many women trying to mirror female standards onto males in order to cope with the sexist reality we live in. it’s as if patriarchy didn’t already agree

someone commented: some men are androsexual (attraction to masculine traits and mannerisms), most openly gay men are feminine and small group of men are masc. so we have a shortage of masc openly gay men hence why we opt for DL men

why is male nudity so normalized everywhere??

i’ve been watching lots of movies lately, but i keep on noticing that it is soo normalized to half-naked men in media. its even considered normal to show men’s asses in television.
meanwhile i’ve literally never seen women being shown in this way. whenever this is the case the content is labeled as inappropriate and unsuitable for a general audience. jfl

it isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it just shows how repulsive the female body is to people lmao

why are vulvas so hated by people

when i used to use tiktok, i remember that it was a whole thing to critique the color and shape of vulvas? there a saying about how roast beef (brown labia) was disgusting and vulvas must be “bubble gum pink”. aswell as labeling vaginas as “innie or outie” and having a clear preference for innies. women’s genitals aren’t particularly appreciated or talked about in media. its always secondary sex characteristics of women that are..

men are seen as okay in their natural state meanwhile women need to modify theirs to be acceptable

just think of it. men are praiseddd for body hair, bare faces n bs like that. but if ur a woman its all like "h-hey hun i think its about time you start shaving yknnowww and also you should start wearing makeup!!!!" the other day a male asked me why i didn't shave my legs ...notice how there is no body positivity for natural women but they GLAAAZEEEEEE (both literally and figuratively) their buddies..

only women need to take care of themselves to be any attractive to men, and retroactively any woman a man doesn’t like “doesn't even have basic hygiene”. its just another knee jerk by men to rationalize their lack of attraction to women yet idenitfying as straight and denigrating women in the process. it’s a win win for them
