Looking for a distro for old hardware. i5 7600k + 1060 6gb + 16gb ram.

It can be said that I have some ease with most distros. The furthest I went was to get to Void Linux, it's a bit complicated, but I managed to make it work.

I need something to cure this disease of distrohopping. I don't feel comfortable with old packages that neither Debian nor Mint have. I know that all distros would work fine once I installed the nvidia drivers, but I wanted to hear the opinion of those of you who have or have had old hardware, where did you feel at home?

I basically play some games, study, surf the internet and watch movies and series.

I'm having some issues with void and I don't want to switch right now; I really want to try using this distro.

The first problem I'm having is with Pipewire; it works perfectly in KDE, but I can't get it to work in Niri. The other problem is that I don't know why my disks aren't automatically mounting; I've configured everything correctly in fstab. Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to your mothers. Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to your mothers.

Well, I came to test this distro after a long time using Arch and I wanted to know your package installation preferences. In Arch I used AUR so much, so I didn't need to use Flatpak because the repository was very large. Debian-based distros aren't like that.

So I'd like to know if you prefer Flatpak, native packages, or AppImages, for example, and if you download applications from there for specific reasons. I've also seen comments from people saying that native packages perform better than Flatpak; I don't know how true that is or if it's really noticeable. Thank you.
