I understand that this is probably normal thing but I'm just genuinely curious about what it is. Just personal marks or do they have any biological meaning? I can't come up with a proper google search to help determine what these pits/deepenings/whatever-these-things are :(
He's 8 months old, I can't tell his length but he weighs 86g. He currently gets 1 6-7g fuzzy every 5-7 days. I'm thinking of start feeding him hopper every 7-10 days but I'm not sure he has normal weight for his age and size since he's gaining it pretty fast, and I'm not sure that he actually will be able to eat hoppers or they will be too large for him. This is my first snake and it's hard for me to tell whether he looks overweight or not but he definitely looks thicker than 2 months ago when I just got him, that's why I am confused. I'm afraid that I might be underfeeding or overfeeding him for now. In the last picture I put a centimeter ruler next to him so it will be more clear how wide he is (he looks bigger on me since I'm pretty small lol)

I'm currently finishing up a large enclosure for my snake (120x45x35 in cm). I had to have it custom-made because terrariums that were in stock in stores all were too small and I couldn't order a bigger one from another country. Perforated metal sheet ventilation was the only option I had for the lid so I can't put heat lamps on top of it, I installed a CHE inside but I'm not sure it's enough for heating all of the needed area. It's 7 inches from the substrate surface, bounded on Exo Terra pulse proportional thermostat. I need an advice on how to put the thermostat probe right and how can I tell if the heat from the lamp is enought for the warm hide? Should I get an extra probe for it? Or should I move the lamp itself?
My snake had a successful shed a little over a week ago, and recently I noticed strange changes in some of his scales in one part of his body. They look like they are pulled in, it's affecting only like 7 scales on his right side over a 5cm area. The rest of his body is completely intact and smooth, all other scales are totally fine. I didn't find something similar to this so I'm not sure what's wrong with these scales. Does this mean he's dehydrated? I've never seen him drink even though he has a bowl in his enclosure and I change his water regularly, as well as maintain humidity 40-60%. Could he have injured himself on some decoration? He is 7 months old, weighs 65g, and it's hard to tell by his length but he's probably 52-55cm, maybe a bit more. I haven't noticed any changes in his behavior too
