Its a popular take in the online MH community to want artains to be phased out or straight up removed in the transition to master rank but I personally suspect that we're gonna get MR variants like in World: Iceborne's Kulve weapons (despite it being an unpopular choice)

They already gave artains an upgrade under the reasoning of "not wanting to waste the time people used for artains" and I think they might do the same justification for giving MR variants. This is on top of the fact that them giving Wilds' current singular elder dragon an MR upgrade being very very likely.

...though this is entirely just baseless wild(s) speculation, so take it with a grain of salt lol

(if we do get MR variants, I hope it serves as a fun alternative paralleling the upgrade tree instead of completly overtaking it like it is now, we got little hints of that now and before TU4 but it would be great if it was a bit more balanced)

is gs sleep still good or are element builds are way more powerful?

So...I just have to know if this is normal, I didn't start counting until I had about five consecutive fails when I first started the first Gogmazios fight.

I put the game down and came back the next day. Now I'm actually counting, I don't recall failing that many times in a row, and each time was a teammate who joined...died continuously, and ended the hunted from carting over and over.

So I did it yesterday 10 additional times before giving up, again...EACH time was from teammates joining and carting until the hunt ended.

Today was the other 15, I waited until 30 consecutive failed hunts to come as questions. I bounce back and forth between lance and gunlance...so I realize I'm tanky...but Gogmazios can still toast me.

So why are my teammates THAT bad? I'd understand 5, 6, 7, 8 times in a row, BUT THIRTY CONSECUTIVE HUNTS?!

I've never seen this, not for any other creature in MHW. This has to be some organized troll thing right?

This has probably been done a million times by now I was just thinking of franchises that I think would be cool as a monster hunter like fight, like some dragons from how to train your dragon, the big sand worms from dune, or with omega they've shown they're actually really good at integrating an enemy that makes completely zero sense to the setting at all so maybe even something like hirudegarn from dbz. Just wanted to think of some cool ideas.

Ive been having a really hard time fighting tempered gore magalas, i just take big damage, i also usually play with randoms but if going solo gives me better chances then ill do that. I have had the most success with great sword and insect glaive (glaive is my main from world and great sword is my main now)

I've been debating on doing a Proof of a Hero hunt for a few hours now since I just unlocked it, for reference I'm HR rank 162. Should there be any specific items I should bring, ie; weapons, armor, buff items, status? Any tips or recommendations would be great thank you.

I just scouted an Artian bow with 5 attack reinforcements. I can exit the game without saving and assign any element I choose to it.

Is it any good? And what element should I make it?
