I recently picked up Monster Hunter Wilds, and I'm coming from Dragon's Dogma. I'm really enjoying the game so far, but do you have any advice for someone who's never played a MH game before?

I tried every weapon against Chatacabra, and I absolutely love the Dual Blades. However, as soon as I fought the big fire chicken, I got destroyed and died over and over again. I can barely dodge any of its attacks because I always seem to be stuck in attack animations.

I even watched a really helpful YouTube guide on the Dual Blades, but my fingers just get completely tangled up trying to pull everything off. 😂

I ended up logging off because it was starting to get really frustrating.

Do you have any tips for a complete beginner? Thanks in advance!

Zoh Shia was sapping energy from the dragon torch making it so not alot of energy flowed to the rest of the forbidden lands, elder dragons and high level monsters are attracted to places with abundant sources of energy as show in world where the elders recess was where all the strong monster stayed on the continent for the most part. If zoh Shia was taking all the energy that would lead to the forbidden lands lacking large amounts of energy additionally once we slayed zoh Shia new monsters immediately started to show up and continue to through title updates, so what if zoh put the forbidden lands on low power mode to not attract attention from the elders?

I just beat Gog, and the moment Proof of a Hero kicked in after his nuke was probably one of my favorite Monster Hunter moments so far.
As you can probably tell, I’m still a pretty new player. I’ve beaten base World (I didn’t continue Iceborne), and right now I’m playing Rise alongside Wilds.
Do they do moments like this often throughout the series? I can imagine finally hearing Proof of a Hero after getting absolutely beaten up by a really difficult monster for 15 minutes would be such a hype moment.

Hi, yep as the title says I need to hold longer against monster when it come to better health or defense while doing good damage obviously, cuz I die if I got hit twice by large 8* monster tempered or not.

One note that I go with level 6 armor and refine it all the way all pieces, I know its under level but how much different it gonna be going with level 8? Am eventually gona do that when I have all the part of the armor I want:)

last time I did this, 68 hunters got their platinum trophies, it has been a while, but how about we do it again?

When this post is about one hour old, I'll be live on twitch. Just show up, tell me the monster and crown you need, join the the hunt, and that's it. No strings attached, no subs, no donations, no nothing. Just come and tell me what you need.

If there are a few people, there will be a queue. So don't expect to ask me for 10 monsters in a row (many people did this last time and got pissed... I thought I didn't need to explain this but, you know).

Everyone gets one hunt, and then goes back to the end of the queue. But since 4 people can be in a hunt, if you need the next monster too, just join the hunt! If you DON'T need the crown, leave room for others. Don't be an ass.

If you do have crowns and want to help others, feel free to post whatever you want in chat, to help others!

IMPORTANT: I do not have EVERY monster. I can only hold 50 investigations. that's 2 per monster. So I left out DOSHAGUMA and BLANGONGA.

Doshaguma is very easy to get crowns. You probably already did during the story. Doshaguma packs will have the Alpha as a large crown and the other doshas as a small crown.

Blangonga has both large and small crowns in the "The Snow has Teeth" event quest.

Other than that, we got all the base game monster crown investigations, more than enough to get you that platinum/all achievements.

You can perfect dodge and/ perfect block the explosion since it is one massive tic of damage, not multiple like Al in iceborn. Watched a dual blade do it instead of getting behind the shield. My question is, how did people even find out you could do this?

The toughest other bosses take me around 10-15 minutes to beat meanwhile I don’t even kill this thing after 30, is there some kind of trick I am missing?

I've been trying multiple setups for my gunlance build and this is the best one I've found so far but I've been trying to add earplug 3 for 2 hours without losing anything (apart from from adrenaline rush and aquatic mobility, idc about thoses two, quicksheath and speed eating aren't mandatory either but I'd like to keep them if possible). I know earplug 3 isn't needed on most monsters, and I know that I could lose one point of agitator or counterstrike if I really wanted earplug 3 but I want to believe there's a way to make it work (I'm okay with considering RNG charms in the equation but even with thoses I couldn't find a solution)

Does anyone know if I can use traps against it?

Its ADHD trip is making me want to rip my hair out. I already use a paralyze weapon but due to it only focusing on me instead of the bots.

Any other tips for the Nerscylla Clone are very welcome and appreciated!
