Giant Toad might be the boss where I used a souls strat.

Souls strat for me is more on dodging through attacks by using I frames. My previous boss fights were mostly done by dodging away from their attacks and blocking.

For Giant Toad for some reason, I find it easier to just dodge through his attacks then counter like how I played other souls games. Ofc, I still applied Nioh mechanics like using kick attacks to deal a lot of ki damage and going all in once the ki of the boss is gone.

Finally defeated Nue, after 3 years.

https://reddit.com/link/1wmw3qh/video/k1qcsk9a7zqh1/player

This guy made me quit the game 3 years ago. Then for some reason I just wanted to play this game again so I made a new save file. Onryoki and Enma took some tries but it went better since I already had experience and then I finally faced this guy. The first few tries made me remember why I stopped playing the game. But after multiple tries and watching 1 youtube video on how to beat this guy, I kinda learned how to deal with his attacks and was able to defeat him.

Honestly, this guy is harder than the final boss in this mission.

Trying to stream Grim Dawm from my laptop to my Anbernic Slide device.

So far so good. I was able to do some totems and such. But I had to change the resolution as the default one has small letters. Though, my internet is a bit unstable when I am in my room so I might just do a softcore run instead of hardcore run until I fix the Internet speed issue.

I really thought I am gonna die.

I guess even the taunt effect from Fierce Roar diminishes the longer the fight goes on. I was quite reliant on Seth taunting Odin to hit his Gungnir on him. I really though that the fight was over when I saw Odin aiming Nahobino. Luckily, I applied Frolic on Odin and maxxed out my stats leaving me 22 hp after getting hit by Gungnir.

Kala ko deads na ako.

https://reddit.com/link/1vhpaot/video/ievpq2zcfvhh1/player

Game is Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

Kala ko na talaga patay na ako nung nakita ang MC ang target ng Gungnir ni Odin. In case you don't know, Gungnir pierces resistance so useless yung resist phys ko na affinity. Sever damage pa sya with charge so expect ko talaga ma 1hit delete ako. Kaya reliant ako kay Seith with his Fierce Roar para sya ang target ni Odin kung gagamit sya ng Gungnir. Buti na lang na max out ko ang damage resist at ang damage reduction kay Odin kaya na kasurvive pa.

Finished reading The Martian

Great book. I definitely recommend reading it even if you have watched the movie. It made me laugh, it made me drop a tear and some parts put me in suspense.

Looking forward to reading Project Hail Mary in the future.

MC stats and skills

So, I finally reached 100 Strength. My plan was to add to vitality until it reach 50 but after that I am at a lost of where to spend my stats. Will there a big difference if I continue to focus on strength or do I add more to vitality to reach 100 or maybe I could put some stats to magic.

Also, for skills. Which offensive skills would I focus next? As of now, Aramasa is still doing good damage and with its multiple hit attacks, I could still get some crits for press turns. Then I use severing bite whenever I have omagatoki: crit active. Sakanagi is for enemies that resist physical. For solo enemies, I feel my skills are good but I kinda lack aoe. Which aoe is good for a str build?

Thanks for the advice.

Starting from Iron, now in Platinum.

7.4 hours in, finally reached Platinum. Past FG experiences definitely helped. Though the start of my ranking journey was tough. I changed keyboard orientation, learned how to use 6 buttons again, my muscle memory from playing Granblue and the new mechanics made it hard to win matches during my rank placement. Still, being placed in Iron was the best scenario cause it allowed me to ease in with the controls and mechanics.
