I gotta say, I had a lot of fun seeing the entirety of Rudy's Side Story!
It was a nice little mix-up using some of the activities from the other characters' Side Stories like cooking donuts with Eleanor and Exotic Kulu-Ya-Ku with Ogden.
It was also neat to see how much the passage of time has warped how Navirou has been perceived by his successors. Just goes to show that your reputation depends a lot on how others decide to think of you.
There was also just a lot of nice character moments and heart, particularly tugging on the nostalgia for MHS1 and 2. The reunion between Ena and Navirou got me quite emotional, as was the final part where Navirou reflected on the previous 2 games. The fact that he decided he's not gonna give up hope on ever seeing his friends again to try and see if they got preserved like he did was heartwarming and fitting for his character.
Rudy having his expectations subverted on his forefather was also pretty interesting, and actually ends up tying in well to the ending parts of the main story.
If things have to end here, I'm glad it was done with heart and respect for the characters and stories of the previous 2 games.
Side Stories are additional storylines centered around the Prince/Princess and their companions! Grow closer to Eleanor and your fellow Rangers as you progress their personal storylines, and gain benefits in gameplay like new weapons, Monsties, and improvements to their unique skills.
