How viable is a health regen build?

Hey guys, I stopped playing Monster Hunter World years ago, I think right when Fatalis got added. But I'm about to go back through and play it with one of my friends who's new to the series.

I think I'd like to change up my build and try a health regen build if that's possible? When I played I swear I remember meeting a few people who had this going on. Is this build possible? But more importantly, is it viable? If not, what are some good builds that you guys use? I'm also thinking of trying a poison build?

Thank you all in advance for reading and commenting.

Am i ready for Fatalis?

Ive defeated raging brachy, furious rajang,Safi'jiiva, and Alatreon, now all that remains is the big boy fatalis.I was just wondering if im ready for him or if i should upgrade my build ,armor, weapon, etc. im not sure if I’ve got good jewels on or if there’s a specific skill i gotta focus on. Also I’ve augmented my Longsword with health regen I and still have 3 slots what should i go for attack or affinity and element?

Shogun Ceanataur has replaced Odogaron, now Day 18 of replacing the Monster Hunter World roster, "Rotten Vale: Replacing Vaal Hazak"

Here are the rules

The important ones for this one;

Has to be another Elder Dragon

Can't be in Worldborne

The monster does NOT have to be the same thing as Vaal, it doesn't have to have elements or ailments

Stuck at farming

Hi,

I recently got back into Iceborne. At the moment I am a bit stuck. I am MR 90 and don‘t really know what to farm.
I wanted to do raging brachy but I quickly realized that won‘t be happening even with blast res and health boost.
Same with Rajang.

I know guiding lands lvl 7 unlocks at MR 100 and I need that for augmentation. So do I just grind guiding lands even though I have what I want at lvl 6 already or should I do other quests ?

Greatsword HR7 what skills to prioritize?

Hi, I've been playing for a while from being a beginner. Just wanted to share my current build and get some advice. I’m mostly wondering what skills I should be prioritizing, just wanna know if there are any skills I should be aiming for or stuff I should replace in this build.

Thanks in advance!

I reached MR99 and the guiding lands levels are level 12 when added together, but the assigned Quest isn't showing up

The npc that i need to talk to doesn't have any dialogue related to it. Is skmething else lacking?

This boss drained me

I hated every second I spent fighting this video game boss, i call it video game boss, not a monster hunt.

This is everything wrong with the endgame of iceborne (artificially inflated damage, and a supernova that is bs), even if i finished this, i dread to think about farming its parts since I was told that i needed an >!Alatreon sword !<for the true end game boss.

I need help, I want to finish this game, but this fight specifically, drained almost all my enthusiasm for progressing. I have faced the Raging Boxer and Furious George, none of them compared to this guy.

I am MR 86, is it worth going to MR 100 and beating the true endgame boss?

Is it normal to be ass?

So I've just unlocked the third area of the game and was wondering at what point i should seriously think about upping my skill. I've seen a couple videos on how to use my weapon, the long sword, but in an actual fight i can never actually put in practice the shorter combos with the little swipe that repositions the character and the parry is completely out of the question. I mostly just default to spamming the normal combo and hope to hit the final roundslash but most of the times i get smacked around and it makes combat feel really heavy, drawn out and boring.

But the training area is useless outside of getting some muscle memory since the target is stationary. What should i do? Is there a better sword like weapon that's faster and requires less commitment for attacks? Cause i really don't know how I'm supposed to put in practice all these tips especially when enemies fly around and keep moving at insane paces compared to the slow and clunky player movement

How this weapon is possible

I’m playing with a friend, after he reset the character, he is 999 rank and has this weapon, however when asked about screenshot he sees it as normal weapon (he sent me a screenshot, the only weird thing is rank 999 there). But I see in the game blasts of 3k. Is he deceiving me ?

Weapon hate/stigma

Its not secret that the longsword is the most hated weapon mainly because it constantly flinches others in multiplayer hunts right?

now my question is, why doesnt hammer get any hate? Its truely beyond me how a weapon that sends you to the stratosphere mid combo gets no hate from the community in the same way LS does for flinches, in my experience in MP, ive suffered more from hammers than being flinched by other longswords
So Howcome the hammer gets away with it? Im genuinely curious

And as for LS players being bad most of the time, isnt that just generalising? cause any player of any weapon can be bad, its not as though theres a weapon that exists where its guaranteed to be a 5⭐️ hunter whenever said individual joins.
And it statistically it makes sense that LS would seem to hold the highest number of mediocre hunters because it IS the majority, however that doesnt mean LS = bad players, it just means that its more probable to run into a bad player who uses a long sword

Maybe im missing something here
But i need to hear ur thoughts on the hammer thing

How much grind should I need to do for alatreon (and fatalis)?

Ive been playing MHW with two other friends and its been a blast all the way through, weve only stopped to grind a few times for armour and weapons that looked cool or had skills that sounded like good fits for our weapons, alot of grinding on raging brachy because it was such a fun fight!

We mostly cruised through all the way up to alatreon, but now were getting… well were getting our ass handed to us to say the least.

From the stuff ive read online, I should be doing this at MR 100 or above with augments and stuff like kjarr or safi weapons. Whilst the games been fun, me and my friends are only at around MR 45 ish, and we just want to have some final fun fights with the last bosses and move onto Wilds.

So my question is, is alatreon, and fatalis going to be feasible at all for us without having to grind all the way up to MR 100? We dont have much augments, and our guiding lands arent levelled up that high. Weve been doing well so far, but were not playing amazingly of course. Im afraid that if we have to grind out alot to get these done, were gonna be burnt out by the time we get to Wilds.

On a personal note, is there any good openings for alatreon that I could get a elemental discharge off with the CB, or should I just not use that move? every time I try to use it on what I think is a opening half my health is eaten and I bring shame upon all charge blade users, sorry

Gigginox has replaced Radobaan, now Day 17 of replacing the Monster Hunter World roster, "Rotten Vale: Replacing Odogaron"

Here are the rules

The important ones for this one;

Has to be another High/Apex Tier monster

Can't be in Worldborne

The monster does NOT have to be the same thing as Odogaron, it doesn't have to have elements or ailments

Remember that this monster will also appear in the Coral Highlands, so it has to be capable of that

Turns out I just had to lock in for a quick sec

Just a couple days ago I was asking how in the world do you solo Fatalis after returning to world and iceborne.... i understand it now....

What are the funny stereotypes in the community?

I ask this in no offense to anyone, i am kind of new to the community and i was just curious, lol

For what i have noticed while playing, Longsword players are the ones that quit after carting once the most. Actually, i only saw them doing this so far. I think it's funny. And it's always someone with high MR which is a bit weird

Again, no offense to anyone, not everyone is like that

Namielle fat hp?

So i fought swagmielle for the first time last night and tbh i was more impressed by the visuals than the fight itself lmao, anyway i beat it but it was my longest hunt ever at like 45 minutes

Maybe i was distracted? I dont think so, i hit a fair amount of wall bangs, used CC, mantles
Essentially everything at my disposal damage wise and it still took forever

Is this normal or was i wasting time without realising it
