Savage Deviljho headcannon

What if the reason why savage deviljho is reasonably more weaker, is because his muscles are so tensed up from the adrenaline to where they are always outside of his body and much more vulnerable. I mean its already known that base deviljho's muscles rip through his flesh when enraged, so wouldn't it make sense if its the same case for savage deviljho?

Hey so wtf is the Kulve Taroth Seige

So I heard from the MHW grapevine that the Taroth Pipe “Sleep” is the best Hunting Horn in the game. Naturally, I wanted it, so I decided to do the seige.

???

Am I just stupid or does this make no sense cuz I don’t understand wtf is happening. I was told the first time you just collect tracks but there’s hardly any on the map and KT is so passive. The objective is just so muddy and confusing wtf do I do????

Could you help me improve gs skill?

I just beat vaal hazak and i felt really bad with my gs ability, that's the only weapon i used since i started playing mhw. I have only played 50h in general. I understand the basics of gs: three charge hit, tcs and know the monster patterns. My main skills are attack, crit draw and agitator... My currently build: diablos helmet; damascus armor; nergigante vambraces; dober greaves; wivern ignitious impact gs

I Soloed Alatreon With Every Melee Weapon To Prove A Point

A lot of people say how impossible Alatreon is or that every weapon can't successfully beat it. So I set out to prove that it's possible to defeat it and without using super powerful OP builds. The photo is my times with each weapon. I main Hunting Horn and I'm horrible with Charge Blade, Gunlance, and Switch Axe. Hopefully this helps anyone who is struggling.

Extra context, for the builds I didn't use any Fatalis, Alatreon, Safi, or Kulve weapons or armor.

Lock-On Suddenly Acting Weird

I booted the game up today and took a quest, only for the L1 (PlayStation) to not snap the camera to the monster when I had the monster selected, but instead recentering the camera behind my Hunter, like it does in Freedom Unite, while also removing the selection of the monster entirely. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

My (obviously) Biased Monster Tier List (Debatable Rankings Explained)

  • Teostra: There's legit nothing bad I can say about this monster, other than its lacking difficulty. Well rounded and incredibly fun. Fought this thing hundreds of times for decos, and I couldn't get tired of it.
  • Coral Pukei-Pukei: Feels weird to place this goober in the middle of all these menaces, but its design, colors and goofy personality are just too good to place it anywhere else.
  • Ruiner Nergigante: Overall a downgrade to Nergigante. The final, decisive dive bomb is replaced by a less powerful version that it does whenever it feels like it. Disappointing, but it's still Nergigante, so it's inherently a fun fight.
  • Barioth: Feels like you either love it or hate it. And I love it. Dynamic part breaks are so cool.
  • Acidic Glavenus: You'd think I'd place it wayyy closer to the original, but overall this fight feels less rhythmic than the original. Doesn't feel like a dance anymore because of its wide sweeping attacks.
  • Xeno-Jiiva: Awesome design, love that its behavior actually shows it's a hydrogen baby that doesn't know how to wield its own immense power. The fight isn't the most engaging, though.
  • Namielle: Oh boy. This one I feel will be the most controversial, and to be honest, this might be the least objective placement in my list by far. Its design just doesn't speak to me, and its attacks cover way too much area and can feel bullshit sometimes. It's cool on paper, a monster that wields both water and electricity, and uses the former to amplify the latter, but the execution just didn't do it for me.
  • Brachydios: This ranking is assuming you have blast resistance 3, because otherwise it's down in D. By that point, there's no excuse not having that skill anyway, it's just 3 level 1 deco slots.
  • Beotodus: If you look past the piscine wyvern generalizations, Beotodus is actually a pretty fun fight. Uses its environment very well, and it actually engages in the fight. It doesn't stall, and it sure as hell isn't a punching bag. I love the chainsaw sounds it makes before it attacks, too.
  • Dodogama: HEAR ME OUT! It's the cutest thing in existence, obviously. But the fight is boring at best. Basically Great Jagras with Blast. For its design and its design alone, it's bumped out of C into B.
  • Kushala Daora: This one is very weapon dependent, and I just so happen to mostly use weapon with medium to high range. If you keep your distance, and hit the head, this monster is actually quite manageable.
  • Kirin: Same thing, very weapon dependent. High single-hit damage and precise weapons will be much more effective on this monster, and I just so happen to play these kinds of weapons.
  • Tigrex: Used to hate this monster, until I came back to it with Lance. Now it's somewhat fun.
  • Kulu-Ya-Ku: Same thing than Coral Pukei-Pukei, to a much lesser degree. Love its personality, so that bumps it up from C to low B.
  • Brute Tigrex: Tigrex, but it roars WAY too much! Unlike Brachydios, getting earplugs 5 takes much more space than blast res 3, and doesn't make the fight any more interesting; just makes a slightly less aggressive Tigrex.
  • Zorah Magdaros: Bumped up from "I actually hate this game" just because of the spectacle. Also I love Kaijus.
  • Lunastra: Nevermind about Namielle, THIS one is the least objective placement. There is nothing good I can say about this fuckermother, other than its looks, and that's just because it looks like Teostra. You could have me and my whole family at gunpoint, and I still wouldn't bump it up the list. Fuck this monster.
  • Behemoth: I started playing in 2024. By that point, Iceborne had already received its final update, and pretty much everyone was in master rank. Behemoth being stuck in high rank, and being a monster that requires a good party to defeat in high rank consistently, makes it impossible for me to properly rank on this list. Sorry, I came too late :P

All monsters are somewhat ordered within their rankings. Tried to keep S tier to a top 10 (the two bazels and zinogres are respectively considered as one). I haven't considered Arch-Tempered monsters for this ranking, because I haven't fought most of them fairly yet. Open to discuss!

Never hunted anything with Lance in my life, so I decided to solo Fatalis with it

Took 5 attempts, carted twice, killed him with 2 minutes left, needed fortify, dragonator, demon buffs, heavy artillery on the temporal mantle, the whole 9 yards, but I did it with pre-Fatalis gear and no weapon augments. Fight was sloppy as hell, but the way of the poke carried me through. The killshot was me going all “From Hell’s heart, I stab at thee!” and jamming my lance directly into Fatty’s chest while he was flying. Probably my most satisfying final blow all things considered.

I guess the point here is that if I can do it, you can do it. I didn’t use any advanced lance tech at all whatsoever. I just poked him a lot and hopped around a lot (actually I barely blocked at all because it’s against my Bow main programming, most of my damage avoidance was from I-framing and sheathing). I do have a lot of Fatty knowledge from many previous solo slays, but I am just not a skilled lancer, so if I can fell this slithering, fire puking a-hole, so can you.

Alatreon

Been trying to solo Blazing Black Twilight for about a week now and I'm at my wits end. The fight itself is literally a joke for me at this point, rarely getting hit, punishing every opening, easily getting topples and hornbreaks, I just dont understand how I'm supposed to execute in time, I really dont. Using Frostfang Barioth SA with health and ele augment ill post full build below. The pulse is always flatlining when I get this far into the fight so I can only assume im getting close but its just never enough, please help.

Weapon Craft

First time playing monster hunter and just finished the main storyline. I don't have Iceborne DLC. Is it possible to craft this item?
