I'm playing Lance and I feel like I'm spending 90% of the time just hiding behind my Shield because he just doesn't stop attacking, and so many of his attacks hit multiple times so trying to counter feels like a death sentence. The only times I can reliably get hits in is when he does the belly flop or the laser breath. Are there any tips I should know or do I just have to keep practicing?

I've always loved Bahamut ZERO, a space dragon that shoots lasers from its mouth is just so badass

I'm gonna go with Tigrex just because he's got such an extreme case of zoomies that he would destroy my entire place in like ten seconds. Diablos would be pretty bad as well because he'll just try and dig through everything.

I would probably still have them as my favourites, with the Demon twins from DS3 as a close second. The Godskins from Elden Ring have cool presentation a phenomenal OST but the fight leaves something to be desired.

You know which one I'm talking about.

There's a few that come to mind for me:

Darkeater Midir from DS3: people complain about the fight being too long and the camera being too wonky but I dunno, I enjoyed the fight. Maybe I'm just a dork who likes big Dragons though.

Laurence from Bloodborne: yeah he's a bit too tanky and he's a Cleric Beast reskin (which makes sense lore wise because he's the first Cleric Beast), but I feel like once you learn his moves he's not too bad. Plus that OST is just godly.

Demon of Hatred from Sekiro: he seems intimidating at first but once I learned to parry him he was actually kinda fun, and the fire umbrella negates most of his attacks anyway.

I'm tempted to say NK but prime Lorian was no slouch either

I fought Teostra and Vaal Hazak and found both of them to be pretty manageable and even kinda easy, but Kushala took me 25 minutes and I would've carted if my Palico didn't revive me. I play Lance and even with Guard level 4 his wind attacks do a lot of chip damage and I spent most of the hunt spamming flash pods to knock him out of the air. Is this a common experience? Because I fought him in Rise and he was nowhere near as obnoxious.

Makes you wonder how formidable of a fighter he was at his peak, considering that he can kick your ass despite barely being able to move.

This has happened to me like 3 or 4 times now and I have no idea why, usually I can get it no problem.

I know Orphan gets a reputation for being pretty tough but I honestly never had that much trouble with him compared to Laurence or some of the Chalice bosses, whereas Gael fed me my lunch for awhile.
