My shiny blue boi still huffing copium sapphire and ruby come out so I can try and catch it in a dive ball

It’s honestly so surreal having it happen to you, y’know?

I didn’t flip out or anything, I just sat there with my heart racing desperately trying to catch it. (she took three balls)

But… I do have some bad news. This file was supposed to be a monotype Normal play through, my favorite type. The grass where I found this one was the same grass you could find Jigglypuff, I needed it for my team.

So, should I a) Bite the bullet and use this Mankey and any other Pokémon I find and have fun with my first 1/8192 shiny, maybe even attempt a full shiny team or keep trying to find at least one more, or b) Box it and keep it as a trophy of sorts, letting it rot away, never to be used again?

This is right before Mt. Moon, and I can reattempt a monotype Normal run any time. But I can only get this Mankey (probably) once in a lifetime.

I am going to end the run here and just use this Mankey and other guys I find and enjoy using, and continue shiny hunting. Maybe this save file is lucky, lol!

I do not recommend

Was resetting for adamant nature and use for my team, and then got a shiny one instead within 10 SR. Wish I have this luck with Eevee (still trying to SR) and Lapras (gave up SR as I prefer blue Lapras). Thinking if I should keep this Level 5 with E4 ribbon for SwSh run as I have not played SwSh before. I have ZA but I don't enjoy the gameplay so may not consider transfer to ZA even if I could mega evolve
