First Smith & Wesson, Competitor 2.0

I've owned only Glock pistols and recently a Ruger RXM. I am interested in competitive shooting and saw this at my LGS used for $720 with 4 mags. I handled this along with the HK VP9L and went with this for price. I trust my Glocks with my life but swear they are a chore to shoot. This feels great in my hand and I look forward to shooting it. I read up on porting the barrel and decided not to go that route.

Blem Benelli M4

Picked this up at a LGS used. $1489 before taxes, $1617 out the door. There is a nick in the frame plus some marking that can probably be cleaned off. I've never worked on a gun with this metal so I would appreciate input on the proper way to clean the marking off.
