An update (and a thank you) to everyone who encouraged my mother to start teaching ♥️

A couple of months ago, I posted here about my mother (52) starting online Hindustani Classical vocal lessons. I just wanted to thank everyone who reached out with encouragement and interest. It genuinely helped.

She's a Sangeet Prabhakar and Sangeet Visharad with over 40 years of experience, and over the past two months she's been teaching students online.

We've continued to receive quite a few enquiries, so we've decided to start a few small online batches (3–5 students max) instead of only one-on-one lessons. Keeping the batches small is important to us so that every student still receives individual attention.

✅️ If you had reached out earlier or are interested in joining one of the upcoming batches, feel free to DM me. Happy to share the details.

Thanks again to this community for helping us get started. 🙏

Recommend a horror audiobook that made you think "What the hell is happening?"

I’ve got 2 Audible credits burning a hole in my pocket and I’m looking for recommendations.

Not really interested in the typical "haunted house, ghost in the attic, something lurking in the dark" type of horror.

I want something genuinely disturbing, mind-bending, and psychologically terrifying. The kind of story that gets under your skin, makes you question reality, and has you staring into the darkness after you stop listening.

Bonus points if it's a full-cast production or highly immersive audio experience with great sound design. I want to feel like I'm inside the story, not just listening to someone read it. The more atmospheric, unsettling, and edge-of-your-seat it is, the better.

Think psychological horror, existential dread, unreliable narrators, reality-warping madness, cults, cosmic horror, or anything that leaves you thinking "what the hell did I just experience?"

What's the most immersive horror audiobook you've ever listened to on Audible?

Okay I just watched the promo and I’m genuinely confused/excited??

Maya is BACK?? As in Maya Bishop Maya??

So they’re actually bringing in someone from Station 19 again??

And if Maya is here… does that mean we could see Carina too?? Because there is NO WAY they bring Maya without Carina right??

Also why are Nick Marsh and Owen Hunt both injured at the same time?? This feels like one of those chaotic disaster episodes and I’m lowkey here for it.

Not gonna lie… this is the first time this season I’m actually excited for an episode. Also getting serious nostalgia for Station 19 😭 I didn’t realize how much I missed those crossovers until now.

It’s never too late: My mom (52) is starting online Hindustani classical music classes; looking for interested learners

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share something close to my heart. My mother (52) is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist with years of experience in both classical music and Rabindra Sangeet. After moving to Mumbai, she’s now planning to start online vocal lessons.

What makes her teaching special is that she’s incredibly patient and beginner-friendly. She truly believes it’s never too late to start learning music. Whether you’re someone who has always wanted to learn classical singing, or someone looking to reconnect with music, she creates a very comfortable and structured learning environment.

She’ll be covering:

- Basics of Hindustani classical (voice training, alankars, raagas)

- Rabindra Sangeet (for those interested)

- Special focus on beginners and hobby learners

We’re trying to understand if there’s interest before formally launching batches.

If you or someone you know would be interested in learning (especially online), please comment or DM me. I’d be happy to share more details or arrange a trial session.

Also open to any suggestions on how to reach the right audience 🙏
