What is the most common recovery gear mistake that sounds reasonable at first??

So a lot of bad gear decisions don't look bad when you make them.
They look practical, cheaper, faster, easier. Then the receipt shows up in some other form.

What's the recovery gear mistake you see people make that sounds totally reasonable at first??

(disclaimer: I'm with Rhino USA, not pitching anything, just curious what everyone's run into.)
