What helped me after 5 years of suffering

I just wanted to make this post to help anyone who might be dealing with the same symptoms i was.

First, some background. For 5 years I had chronic fatigue, pain behind my eyes, thick mucus that would only come down the back of my throat, and a general “off” feeling all of the time. I could sleep 12 hours and wake up not rested. I couldn’t run, or else I would choke on the thick mucus coming down my throat. Doctors dismissed me for years, saying my sinus CT was totally clear, even when I objectively had blood and thick crap coming out of my head.

I got an allergy panel done, and, of course, I was severely allergic to nearly everything they tested for. My allergies present in a weird way though. No mucus in the front of my nose, no itchy eyes, no tickly throat. Just thick, stubborn mucus deep in my head/ back of my throat and so much inflammation I could barely make it through the day.

Now for what helped me. Because of the area my mucus is stuck in, I found the only way to get anything to reach it was using the mygind position. This is basically laying down on a bed/couch so that the top of your head is facing the floor, then doing your rinse in that position. You kinda let the rinse pool deep in your head, then come back up after about 30 seconds of it sitting there. Repeat until done with the bottle (you can take the straw out of your rinse bottle to allow the liquid to flow while upside down). I was amazed at the amount of stuff that came out. While this helps, it’s not directly targeting the inflammation. For that, the best thing for me was to get a budenoside (steroid) prescription that I dissolve into the rinse. Typical sprays simply can’t reach the problem area, so they don’t really help.

I really hope this helps someone. These were the hardest 5 years of my life, and I just want to share this in case it helps even one person.
