I'm a 29-year-old Civil Engineer based in Brazil, and I'm trying to transition into the U.S. market. I have over 5 years of experience managing $55M in heavy civil infrastructure projects, and I've worked in both Mexico and Brazil. However, with the current $100k visa fee, I feel like getting sponsorship will be almost impossible.
Someone suggested that I pursue a master's degree in the U.S. and then try to find a job afterward. In the meantime, though, I'd like to get started in the industry through entry-level roles, even remotely, just to gain some exposure. Does anyone know how to break into an entry-level remote PM role? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
