Best night light setup for tiny windowless bathroom?

So our main bathroom has no window and the overhead light is stupid bright at 3 am. I was half-asleep a few nights ago, flipped it on, and my toddler started crying because it was “too shiny” lol, so I’ve been thinking about a softer lighting setup.

I’m looking for some kind of night light situation that’s safe around moisture, doesn’t roast if it gets splashed, and still looks decent with tile/fixtures. I’ve seen people use LED strips under vanities, motion sensor plug-ins, and even these cute Animal Themed night lights in kids’ rooms while I was googling stuff at like 1 am.

Has anyone here set up low-level/night lighting in a bathroom that actually works long-term? Do you prefer plug-in vs rechargeable? Warm vs cool color temp so you’re not fully awake after using the toilet? Maybe I’m overthinking this, but I’d love pics, product recs, or “don’t do this, I tried it and it sucked” stories.

Do Expensive Hair Tools Outperform the Cheap Versions?

I have always used the basic stuff over the years. Drugstore hair dryers and straighteners have always worked well for me, they heat up, they do the job and that's just it. But while I was at my sister’s place recently, I used her’s that was more high end and it felt nicer. Now, I can’t tell if it actually did anything different or I was just expecting it to… you know real vs placebo.

I've read reviews of high end ones on Alibaba and its like people have
totally different experiences. For those of you who may have used both, was there a point you thought “okay yeah, this is better”? Or are you like me?

I guess what I am asking is, Is there a difference in how your hair looks or feels? Is it just the brand and build quality?

Maybe it depends a lot on hair type. Mines kinda in between (not super thick, not super fine). Maybe that’s why I wouldn’t notice it as much.

What’s the best budget sewing machine for beginners?

I have been watching lots of sewing content on Youtube recently and I think it’s now time to get myself one of these genius engineered sewing machines and I get into the hobby. I have been looking at cheap sewing machines on Alibaba and just couldn’t decide on which one to get as some look too complex and the others too simple. What I am looking for is something affordable, not expensive with lots of fancy features I may not even use and not too cheap that I end up regretting it later. I am willing to spend more upfront for something that I won’t easily outgrow as reliability is the major factor for me. I will not be handling thick fabric often, just here and there so maybe one that could handle it would be preferred. Some things that I also consider to be of importance are ease of threading and repairability. Which machine do you use and which one do you think would be best for a beginner like myself?
