Didn't get paid
Just found out today that my school will not be paying me for coaching cheer. All other sports, even dance was paid. Will not be doing it again, or at least check at my new school.

Mom said she will not be sending her to the free sped summer school program that is free and provides transportation. Her reason was she just doesn't want to. I have also found out that the borrowed chair she is currently using is for the school. They said they will take it back on the last day of school.
I am a regular ed teacher, that has sped students push in. One student has spina bifida. Cognitively fine, has feeling in her legs, and can stand with support. She is a legal citizen however her parents are not and do not speak English.
At a recent meeting it was told to us that she does not have medicaid. Parents will not apply because they are scared of being deported. She has a hand me down wheelchair that is to small, she has recent flipped out of it. She doesn't get any therapies outside of twice a week at school. She also doesn't get disability because they will not apply. In the meeting it was told to her the new therapies recommended as well as having wheelchair clinic come out. Mom declined due to affording it. This includes not buying pullups that tare at the side. There is also concerns I have about neglect that I wont get into.
But at this point what do you recommend? The child is getting no medical care. At what point does this become medical neglect?
So i have a student with a physical disability. Because the parents are illegal, they never applied for any services. So as a result, the student does not have medicaid. They have 0 therapies outside the ones they receive at school, no medical equipment.
I know apply for medicaid risk the parents being deported, but if this continues, it will teeter into medical neglect. If the parents were to give guardianship to another family member who is legal, would that person be able to apply for medicaid for the child?
Don't understand whats the point of having done everything right, get good grades, college, career, just for things to be handed to your younger siblings who've done nothing. For all of that I could've just been a bum.
