I’m quitting after almost 3 months
Today was the day I realize that it is in fact NOT normal for your workplace to make you cry everyday. I’ve been starting to get stress twitches in my eye (I don’t drink caffeine btw and I get a good amount of sleep). What I noticed is that it happens when I’m working pharmacy. My body is doing it right now from the thought of it rn actually lol. Spent every day on my breaks crying in the bathroom or crying before I clock in. It wasn’t just the customers. I can handle toxic customers, I’ve worked at a Ross. It’s the workplace. Being asked to do 5 tasks (which I shouldn’t be doing anyways btw I’m not even a technician I’m just a PCSA), and while I’m supposed to do these tasks I’m supposed to ring customers and I haven’t been trained enough to be shown how to navigate everything. Mind you, I was told I’d be on front end some days and pharmacy others. My friends have the same exact position as me at different stores where they actually are front end most days. I’m at pharmacy every day for 5 days straight 8 hours. It’s killing me mentally. I already study engineering in college and the work life balance is horrible. My grades are starting to slip because I simply come home and just knock out. They have too high expectations for someone who is fairly new, they get mad if I don’t know something, they leave me with 19382929 tasks to do on days their off and when I come back I have to hear some BS. I can handle toxic customers but a workplace that’s toxic I CANNOT STAND. Let alone let it make my grades slip, I’ve tried to switch positions in the workplace and the manager gave me shit for it. She occasionally yells at me cus I don’t toggle everything and sometimes the floaters get mad on my behalf with the way they talk to me.
