Happy Days 🥳

After two long and difficult months, today our hearts are finally filled with happiness and gratitude. ❤️🕊️

We went through one of the hardest phases of our lives when Salmonellosis took our two precious babies, Golu and Chotu. 💔 Losing them broke our hearts in a way that words can never explain. We did everything we could, but sometimes, despite all our efforts and prayers, we have to say goodbye. They will always remain a part of our family and forever live in our hearts. 🥺❤️

But today, we are also incredibly blessed because we were able to save our other babies. 🙏✨ Poco is completely recovered and happy again, and seeing him back to his normal playful self and singing normally feels like a miracle. 🥹💕

And our precious Mistu is safe, healthy, and completely back to his normal life. He has recovered beautifully, and now he is even back to his usual romantic self, happily mating with his girlfriend Mango. 😄❤️

We are especially grateful that we could save Mango too. Watching Poco, Mistu, and Mango healthy, active, playful, and living their normal lives again makes every difficult day, every sleepless night, every medicine, and every worry feel worth it. 🥹🙏

We lost two babies, but we fought with everything we had to save the ones who were still with us. This journey taught us how precious every little life is. ❤️

Today, we don't just celebrate recovery. We celebrate the lives we were blessed to save. 🕊️❤️

Golu and Chotu will always be missed, but Poco, Mistu, and Mango are our little reminders that sometimes, after the darkest days, happiness finds its way back home. 🌸🐦❤️

The story of mama (lily) cockatiel

Today, 24/07/2026 my husband and I welcomed a very special soul into our family. Her name is Mama. ❤️🦜

About a month ago, a woman who runs an aviary told me about Mama's story. A year ago, Mama became paralyzed after mating with a very aggressive male cockatiel during breeding season. That aggressive mating left her paralyzed. She also developed serious respiratory problems. Thankfully, that kind woman cared for her, helped her recover, and gave her a second chance at life.

Today, she trusted us to give Mama her forever home.

Mama can eat on her own, groom herself, and enjoy life, but she still cannot walk properly. Because of the paralysis, her toes are permanently curled, so balancing and moving around are difficult for her. Even with all she has been through, she is one of the calmest, sweetest, and most beautiful cockatiels I have ever met. She hasn't bitten me once—she is simply gentle and full of love.

A day or two after I first heard about her, I had a dream that Mama was already with me and I was taking care of her. When I woke up, I knew in my heart that she belonged with us. Today, that dream came true.

This is only Mama's first day at home, but I promise to love her, protect her, and give her the best life I possibly can for the rest of her life.

If you've read this far, please send a little prayer and your blessings for Mama. I hope she has a long, peaceful, and happy life, and I hope I can give her all the love and care she truly deserves. ❤️🕊️

Welcome home, Mama. You are safe, you are loved, and you are finally home. 🤍

Golu & Chotu

This is how they used to go on morning walks with us. 💛 Chotu would sing beautiful songs for us the whole way, and they enjoyed every moment together. Those walks will always be some of our most precious memories. 🕊️✨

Golu was always a little shy around other people. 💛 Whenever someone walked past us, he would get scared and instantly climb onto the other shoulder to feel safe. It was the sweetest little habit, and it always made us smile. I miss those moments so much. 🕊️

In Loving Memory of Our Little Prince, Chotu 🕊️💛

my 3 years old Cockatiel chotu baby 31/05/2023 to 06/07/2026

We had not even begun to heal after losing Golu, and now, within a month, our precious Chotu has gone too... taken by the same cruel Salmonella disease.

Our home feels so empty now. The corner where you used to play is silent. We miss your cheerful morning performances, your tiny conversations with us, your gentle preening, the little feathers and dust you left behind, and every beautiful moment we shared.

From your very first little steps to your adorable dances, you filled our lives with happiness. You were our little prince, our baby, and a part of our family.

Your dad cries for you every single day. We both miss you more than words can ever express.

We don't know why you had to leave so soon, but we are grateful for every moment we had with you. You and Golu will always live in our hearts, in our memories, and in every sunrise that reminds us of you.

Fly high, our Little Prince, Chotu. 🕊️🌈

Until we meet again... you'll always be loved, and you'll never be forgotten. ❤️

In Loving Memory of Our Sweet Boy, Golu 🕊️💛

Our beloved Golu, you were the sweetest little soul anyone could ever ask for.

You loved sitting on our shoulders for hours and never got tired of being with us. You always wanted to stay close to Mummy and Papa, filling our home with love, laughter, and happiness.

You were our little indoor dentist, always nibbling gently on our fingers, clothes, and anything you could reach, making us laugh every single day.

You loved everyone—Mummy, Papa, Mistu, and your little brother Chotu. You shared your love so freely and made our family complete.

Your favorite food was whatever we were eating. You always wanted to taste everything, and those little moments around mealtime became some of our most precious memories.

To keep your memory alive, we planted an Arabian Jasmine in our garden just for you. I always felt that those flowers belonged to you because I know how much you would have loved them. Every time the plant blooms with beautiful white flowers, it feels like you're smiling at us from heaven. Those blossoms remind us that your love is still with us, and somehow, it makes us feel that you are happy.

We miss you every single day, Golu. Losing you to Salmonella left a pain that words can never describe, but your love will never leave our hearts.

Fly high, our precious Golu. 🕊️

You will always be our sweet boy, forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. Until we meet again, our beautiful angel. ❤️🌼

Please help

Hi everyone,

My birds were very sick with salmonellosis from 1st June 2026. Thankfully, they are recovering now. They have started gaining a little weight and are eating small amounts on their own. I am still hand-feeding them with Versele-Laga A21 Hand Feeding Formula.

Their antibiotics were stopped about 5–6 days ago. Currently, they are only receiving multivitamins, vitamin C, glucose, and probiotics.

I am still worried about their droppings. Could someone please tell me if they look normal or if there is anything I should be concerned about?

Also, Mistu is able to eat mostly on his own now, but Chotu and Poco still depend on hand-feeding.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ❤️🐦

My rescue cute little happy the cockatiel

“My cockatiel is the sweetest little bird. The first time I saw him, he was in a pet shop, trapped in a cage with one leg missing and severe injuries to his wings. Seeing him in such a heartbreaking condition, I couldn’t leave him there, so I brought him home. With time, patience, and care, he recovered beautifully. Today, he fills our home with new songs and cheerful whistles, reminding me every day how resilient and full of life he truly is.”
