3hr project

Was sleeping on a cot but had these mattress toppers sitting around so built this. All in about 60 bucks at the hardware store for platform + nail gun nails and screws I found around the house. Also bought a pelican case at Costco for 160. So a solid build for around 200 bucks to keep my truck organized. (Old setup at end)

First trip in awhile

First trip in awhile, went out to beaver head national forest. Did a 4/10 onX trail to camp then woke up in the morning decided to try a different way home and ended up going down a trail called “falling down the mountain” safe to say it wasn’t meant for 2 almost stock hd trucks. Temporary camping setup till my slide in is built.

Storage system

Walmarts hyperstack modular storage. Good first impressions and I only paid 200 for all of it so I can’t be mad. Planning to use backpack as my recovery gear bag due to easy of use. Can’t wait to fill it with all the stuff I don’t really need and hit a trail.

Front body lift when accelerating and also when crawling

Need help, I have a pretty modified scx24 not as crazy as you all but I am struggling because sometimes the front of the truck lifts up and then doesn’t go back down, I was thinking of just adding weight to the front but wanted some second opinions

Sliding off a hill is always fun

Back tire slid off on ice used a snatch block and tree saver to pull up a bit then snapped off my recovery point on my bumper (never found it 😔). Ended up with my friend yanking my back up enough to get drive forward. Lesson learned, you can never have enough recovery gear.
