SEAMSTRESS STAINED MY DRESS 3 DAYS BEFORE WEDDING

SEAMSTRESS STAINED MY DRESS 3 DAYS BEFORE WEDDING

Hi All. Long story short, my seamstress tried to remove a stain that she caused with her mixture of water and clear ammonia which ended up causing a large yellow stain and clear waterline in the dead center of my bust. She claimed she could get it out and failed. I am furious beyond words. I was able to go to a sample rack and find a last minute fill-in dress thankfully. I want to sue because my mother paid close to $4K for the original dress, plus $800 worth of alterations from the nightmare seamstress (who also did a crummy job with alterations). Does anyone know/think I’d be able to get most of the money back? Has anyone experienced this? I was referred to her from my boutique I bought the original dress from. Would they do anything for compensation? See photo as well.

Backstory: my wedding dress wouldn’t zip 3 inches a month out from my wedding. The top is a corset. The seamstress had to put in dress gussets under my arms. She was going to take fabric from the bottom of the dress, but claimed she had extra material from a previous job that matched. My dress is ivory. I feel like the gusset material she used is too white and doesn’t match and I’m freaking out. Honest opinion, how does it look? My dress fabric is on the left, gusset is on the right.
