Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a BMW iX M60 built on 24 May 2023, currently running BMW Operating System 8.0.

I'd like to know whether it's possible to upgrade it to BMW Operating System 8.5 (iDrive 8.5).

Has anyone with an iX built around this date, particularly an M60 produced between March and July 2023, successfully upgraded from OS 8.0 to 8.5?

Was the upgrade available via OTA or did it require a BMW dealer?

Did BMW confirm that the car had the compatible MGU22 head unit?

If you successfully upgraded, what was your car's production date?

Any real-world experiences or confirmed information would be greatly appreciated.
