I’m just curious, because my friend I saw both movies with he absolutely hated five and then when we left seven he was like wow I was so wrong lol there’s no right or wrong answer obviously, I’m still just curious!
So I just found out that the original Scary Movie in 2000 made 278 million worldwide. Was the highest grossing film of that year behind Mission impossible 2. I was too young to be aware of any of this, but was that movie really that big of a smash? For those of you who went to go see this movie when it debuted, was it really that popular?? I always figured it was more of a cult classic, but it seems like a shit ton of people went to go see it.
It also had a larger worldwide box office than the movies it was parodying😭 lol
Not shading the original, not at all, I still enjoy it and I’m looking forward to the new one.
So I own seasons 1 2 3 4 5a 5b. The reason I haven’t bought the sixth one is because it’s a bit of a rarity and expensive to buy online. Also, that it only comes with all 12 episodes and a trailer for the final season.
It doesn’t even have the alternate Lauren ending on it. So I just bought that season on iTunes and consider my collection complete. I’ll eventually grab the Laguna Beach ones on eBay at some point.
Did anyone else have the DVD sets too? It’s so nostalgic with the DVD menus and the MTV bumpers lol. Ton of special features too if you’re into that.
I haven’t encountered any posts relating to people’s rankings of the opening scenes now that the new movie is out.
So when you rank the opening scenes of all seven movies, where does the seventh fall in place to?
So I bought a new DVD, so tried it in my dvd player and then ps4 (two separate devices) and they skipped / froze in different places on both devices. Then I returned the DVD to Amazon and order a replacement, and then that new DVD also froze/skip in a similar spot on both devices. So is it safe to assume the problem is the DVD’s manufacturer? Best to not try a third time?
Edit: Guys I know producers orchestrate events/drama, I’m speaking in context of the episode.
I love this episode, but oh God is Heidi cringe inducing. I could never imagine inviting yourself to a former friend’s party that you are almost positive you aren’t welcome to. Also the scene of her and Lauren crying bugs me because Heidi is clearly not actually crying (no tears at all), but Lauren is genuinely emotional.
Also if I were Lauren I’d be PISSED at Stephanie for bringing Heidi and even telling her about the party. I appreciated Lo for keeping it real and telling Heidi to just move on. What do you think of this episode?
Was it just for the show (kind of like a Stacie the bartender suddenly being Kristin’s bff) or was it fully genuine?
