(K-12) Is scheduling an interview three weeks out for an interview normal? (Public School)

I am looking to change careers into elementary school teaching (k-6) and in the meantime while I take the test, I would like to be a substitute. I received an interview link to schedule a time for the public school system (substitute teaching) and the soonest one was 9/9/2026. That is a little over three weeks? is that a normal time frame to wait for an interview? That seems a bit long no? I really would like to teach and I’m a little bummed it’s gonna be maybe 1-2 months before I can even be a sub teacher.

Am I a good girlfriend (F/24) even if I cant seem to provide my bf (M/24) the comfort he needs when he is upset?

I just dont know what to do and I would like some advice--and please, nobody say that "its easy, just do this" I literally need some advice because I am breaking myself over this.

So my BF and I are Long-Distance since we started this relo. And when he tells me things that have upset him, or he is feeling sad about something, he expects me to maybe tear up, or be sad with him, or something of the similar. And no matter how many times I think ive done it, or I try, its never enough.

What comes naturally is to be logical: to ask questions and see how we can get there, as well as to say that "I am so sorry youre going through this" that is just what I do. Maybe it could be because I was raised by a psychologist dad. IDK. And in return I also like logical responses when I am feeling sad.

But I cannot do this with him. It has caused TOO many arguments. one time he said, that thinking logical means that I should logically know what to do for him. And maybe hes right.

But all I am asking is for some advice on what to do, and how to do this in a long-distance relationship when I can be there in person to hug him.

SELRESS to IRR Questions

I would like to go IRR this year and was wondering what the process looked like. I have been in for 6 years and my reserve drill obligation date was 4/26. and I am currently in that time frame that I can request IRR: expected loss date: 4/2028. I am green in everything: medical, CGBI, PT, Weigh-ins, etc. (rate: not critical.) I am also out of RCD (two hour drive).

Can someone tell me what the process looks like and how long it takes.
