Just got my first Paper Republic and I'm so in love! It's not my first Traveler's Notebook style cover — I actually ordered a true A6 size from Etsy. Despite it being lovely, I felt like it still wasn't ME. This olive PR just kept bugging me... With the 30% code on bundles I finally sold the idea to myself: "I will make it my EDC sketchbook and watercolor journal with an additional booklet for notes and commonplace stuff, and the A6 will hold my diary and book reviews." So that's how it went and I'm super stoked! The Kaweco Al olivine is an absolutely perfect combo with it!
I have one question though: I removed the original cords and replaced them with some TN olive cords and doubled them to fit 4 books comfortably inside. I still seem to get pretty annoying overhang at times with only one thicker PR notebook inside. Is it better to have just two cords and use the ribbon trick to add notebooks? Does it work better in terms of overhang, or do I just need to wait for the leather to patina?
