I have been a Bethesda fanboy since Morrowind, I adore Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and even 4. So when Starfield was announced I was genuinely excited, I even got it day -5 as I shelled out for the deluxe edition. But on launch I was completely underwhelmed, I played 15-20 hours and dropped it. I wanted to love it so when Shattered Space dropped I gave it another go but honestly only played 10-12 hours. My problem was playing/judging it as just another Bethesda open world RPG. A few weeks back I rekindled my interest and watched a YouTube video, which was from Side Quest Wes. He basically said play it slow, forget the main missions and just explore. Explore planets, check poi’s, hunt Bounty’s both on planet and in space, build outposts, research weapons and armor etc etc and in doing so I have finally got and love this game.
