Using an RX 6800 for gaming and an Intel Arc A750 for frame generation – need help with setup
Hi everyone!
I have two GPUs in my PC, and I'd like to use my AMD Radeon RX 6800 as the main GPU for rendering the game, while using my Intel Arc A750 for frame generation.
Here are my PC specs:
- Main GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 (16 GB VRAM)
- Secondary GPU: Intel Arc A750
- CPU: Intel Core i9-11900KF
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING Z590
I've tried following several YouTube tutorials on how to set up multi-GPU frame generation, but I keep running into a 60 FPS cap and constant stuttering and freezes.
I'm not sure if I've configured something incorrectly or if there's a hardware limitation causing these issues.
I have a few questions:
- How should I properly configure the system to use the RX 6800 for game rendering and the Arc A750 for frame generation?
- Could the problem be related to my motherboard? The Arc A750 is running through a PCIe x4 connection rather than an x16 slot.
- Could having my main monitor connected to the secondary GPU (Intel Arc A750) be causing the FPS cap or stuttering?
- Are there any specific additional drivers, software, or settings I should use to make this setup work properly?
I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations from people who have tried a similar setup.
Thanks in advance!
