Question about TSIAT (This ship is a tomb) (Spoilers ahead)
I love the concept and I am running this probably in 3 weeks or next weekend depending on how my players go, but I am struggling to understand how the "Go Back" mechanic work, as per the book:
When the crew chooses to GO BACK (subtract 1 from the Section number), they are traveling back to a location they have already visited. The constantly changing nature of the Advent Dawn makes it so that you can only find your way back to a location you just left using GO BACK. The Docking Ring can only be accessed again if rediscovered at a Section level higher than 0.
What does this mean?
I should always keep track of the locations I create using the table and keep notes about them so if they go back I start randomly picking them?
Does this mean that the first time they use "Go Back" they can go back to the room they just left, but if they "Go Back" once more, then it is a random room from the ones they already visited?
And it also says the docking ring can only be accessed again if rediscovered at a Section level higher than 0.
So if they push forward 3 times, and then they go back 2, the section counter would be at 1, if I rol the docking ring would they find it and they can escape?
