Edit data pages

Ok, coming from Garmin after using 14 years Fenix devices, Garmin has some nice settings, which perhaps makes the setting of the watch more user friendly/ easier to configure:

  • add possibility to edit/save activity data pages also via Zepp app
  • posibility to copy edited/configured data pages from one app to another app (if you are using almost the same data fields/pages for several apps, you won’t have to configure each app on it’s own).

By the way: This isn't meant as a criticism of Amazfit, but simply as a few suggestions to make Amazfit even better! And there’s nothing wrong with looking to the competition for inspiration! 😉🤘

Barometer

If I look on the barometer of my C2U, I see an altimeter graph and a barometer graph, both for the last 4 hours, which are showing the current altitude/air pressure value. The graphs are showing the last 4 hrs. It would be nice, if the graph would show also the lowest/highest altitude/air pressure with number, like Garmin is doing.

Here a shot from a Garmin wearable/altimeter:

8 is the current altitude, 20 the highest and 1 the lowest altitude during the last 4 hrs (and you can also scroll back to the right, to see the values before the last 4 hrs). Would be nice to get this also for the C2U baro-/altimeter graph.

Navigation view (map) BipMax question

Can the user choose between "North up" and "Advanve up" for the navigation view on the Bip Max? The Bip 6 has only "North up" available. All Amazfit watches with maping should have both to choose!

Strap width

This is just my personal opinion: I think a device with a 51mm diameter ought to have a strap that is at least 24mm wide (or 26mm, like Garmin). Otherwise, it just looks a bit odd to me. I would have preferred a 24mm strap for my 47.4mm C2U as well (for me, 22mm is already pushing the limits).

Battery consumption after the Cheetah 2 Ultra July update (6.1.206.1)

Over the last two days, I’ve seen battery usage of 6% per day (with no GPS activity). That seems higher to me than before (I haven't changed any settings, etc.), though I could be mistaken. What has your experience been?

Waypoint management enhancements

The software update roadmap listed for September: Waypoint management enhancements

Will we finally get the ability to load/sync waypoints to the devices (I really hope so)? Has someone already an idea what we will get?

Altimeter issue (?) C2U (latest July software version)

Woke up (2 floor) and went downstairs to the ground floor. C2U altimeter showed no difference, stayed at 5m (was still showing this 20 minutes later). The altimeter from my Fenix 8 went down from 8m to 5m (change of 3m, which is the difference 1 floor : ground floor).

Altimeter of my C2U was showing 5m at the ground floor. Went upstairs to the first floor and it showed 8m. Went downstairs again: it showed 6m, but 1 minute later it went up to 8m .My Fenix 8 is still showing the correct 5m. Meanwhile the C2U is showing 9m while my F8 is still showing the correct 5m. So not really reliable or is this how the altimeter of the C2U should work, if yes: why?

Ok, this is just a simple indoor test. Have to watch this. In 2 weeks I am going to some Bavarian mountains. There is "real" altitude for deeper testing.

Sent report and log files via Zepp app to the support team.

Availability of coordinates as a data field

I’m bringing this up again: it would be highly desirable to have a data field for coordinates (with a choice of different coordinate systems mybe in the map system settings) available to us. I still use paper maps (yes, they do still exist!) as a backup and/or for a better overview; most high-quality topographic hiking maps in Germany are created using the UTM coordinate system. A good watch that can also be used for hiking needs to have that. Please take a look at what the competition offers in this regard—they have/offer it (f. ex. Garmin)...

Direct routing: visibility of the navigation line

I’ve mentioned this before, but I would like the (poorly) visible navigation line to be a different color so it stands out more clearly. For me, the color used does not stand out clearly enough from the surrounding color. Any thoughts on this?

Btw: you can see them more clearly here in the shot than on the watch.

Altimeter calibration: add DEM data (please!)

To achieve more accurate altimeter calibration, it would be worth considering whether Digital Elevation/Terrain Model (DEM) data could be made available alongside the existing maps for the devices—much like Garmin does, for instance. GPS-based altitude calibration isn't always very precise, and manual calibration requires knowing the approximate elevation beforehand. This would be very helpful.

Altimeter/ barometer question (Cheetah 2 Ultra)

This morning the altimeter of my C2U was showing -10 meter, the barometer was showing 1015 hPa. Calibrated my altimeter manually to +10 meter ( the altitude which is normally shown/calculated for my position). But the barometer value stayed at 1015 hPa. I would have expected the barometer switched to 1017 hPa, because there was an altitude change of + 20 meters (change of 8 m= 1hPa). Am I wrong?

external small bluetooth thermometer?

I would like to have the possibility to pair a small bluetooth thermometer which can show you the temperature during an activity or could be used as a mobile weather station on a multi day hike etc. A Garmin wearable can be paired to the (meanwhile discontinued ) Garmin Tempe sensor) or via a third party app to a Ruuvi sensor. Depending on the model, a Ruuvi sensor can display temperature, pressure and humidity. That can really be useful for some kind of activities to have a mobile weather station with you and not have to rely on online weather sources (if available), which may give you values from a location many kilometers away from your current position.

Helio Ring and Bio/HybridCharge question

3 questions (isn´t clear to me):

a)does the Helio ring measure datas and sync them to the ZeppApp to get BioCharge/Hybride charge values?

b) if a)applies and I wear only the Helio ring during the night, does the ZeppApp sync the BioCharge/Hybrid charge values to my Cheetah 2 Ultra? Is there a multi device data sync?

c) if I wear the ring and my C2U during the night and sync with the ZeppApp, they might have mesaured different datas: does the ZeppApp merge them to one BioCharge/Hybride charge value?

Question regarding BioCharge/HybridCharge value device:app

After the watch (in this case, the Cheetah 2 Ultra) calculates the HybridCharge value in the morning based on the data stored on the device, and you subsequently sync it with the Zepp app, the HybridCharge value on the watch is often adjusted (either up or down). The app's explanation states (in short) that the Zepp app holds the more accurate data. So, does it work like this: the watch calculates the value based solely on current data, whereas the Zepp app recalculates—and potentially adjusts—it using data accumulated over previous days or weeks? My Zepp app is fed data exclusively from my C2U, no other devices involved.
